UML Class Diagram and Notations
This chapter provides tutorial notes and examples on UML class diagram and notations. Topics include introduction to UML class diagram; graphical notations to describe class, association, association end, association navigability, aggregation, composition, generalization, realization, dependency, etc.

- A UML Class Diagram is a diagram that provides
a structural view of a system by listing its object classes with relations between classes.
- Class Notation is used to describe
a class of objects which share the same set of properties and behaviors.
- Association Notation is used to describe
an association relation between two classes in which one class is related to the other class.
- Aggregation and Composition Notations are used to describe
a special type of association called "aggregation" between a pair of parent and child classes,
where the child class is considered as a part of the parent class.
- Generalization Notation is used to describe
a generalization relation between two classes in which one class is more generic than the other.
- Realization Notation is used to describe
a relationship between two classes, in which one class (the client) realizes (implements) the behavior
that the other class (the supplier) specifies.
- Dependency Notation is used to describe
a relationship between two classes, in which one class (the client) depends on the other class (the supplier).
