Export Copay Wallet to File

This section describes how to export Copay wallet to file.

If you don't want to create a backup of your wallet on the Copay server, you can export Copay wallet to a file and save it in a memory stick.

Run Copay and click the "Settings" icon near the bottom.

Scroll down and click "Test Bitcoin Wallet" to see wallet related options.

Click "More options" option. You will more options.

Click "Export Wallet". You see the File/Text option screen.

Enter a password to protect the wallet file, and click "Download".

Save the downloaded file to a memory stick: E:\>Test Bitcoin Wallet-Copaybackup.aes.

Keep this memory stick to a safe place to help recovering your Copay wallet.
