Enable Full Trust for Root Certificate on iOS 10 iPhone
This section provides a tutorial example on how to enable full trust for root certificate on iOS 10 iPhone.
If the installed certificate is a root CA certificate, you need to review it and decide to enable it or not.
1. Tap on "Settings > General > About > Certificate Trust Settings". Root certificates are listed below the trust Store information.
2. Tap on the switch next to "GlobalSign Root CA" to enable it. A warning message is displayed.
Root Certificate Warning: enabling this certificate for websites will allow third parties to view any private data sent to websites.
3. Tap on "Continue" to ignore the warning. The warning message is not really true. Enabling a root certificate only allow your iPhone to trust other certificates signed by this certificate. Third parties cannot view any private data unless they steal the private keys of websites.
