Viewing Comodo Personal Certificate in Windows
This section provides a tutorial example on how to view Comodo personal certificate installed in Windows using the 'MyCertificatesConsole.msc' command.
After installing my personal certificate in Windows certificate store. I want to verify it.
1. Run "MyCertificatesConsole.msc" command created in an earlier tutorial in a command window. I see the certificate manager screen.
2. Click and open "Certificates > Personal > Certificates" on the left panel. I see my personal certificate from Comodo listed there. It has a key sign in the certificate icon to indicate that it contains a private key.
3, Double-click on the personal certificate to open it. I see the certificate screen with the following information:
This certificate is intended for the following purpose(s): Protects e-mail messages 1.3.6.1.4.1.6449.1.2.1.1.1 Issued to: herong_yang@yahoo.com Issued by: COMODO RSA Client Authentication and Secure Email CA You have a private key that corresponds to this certificate.
Cool. The personal certificate seems to be installed correctly. The private key is maintained.
