Downloading and installing SWFTools
This section provides a tutorial example on how to download and install SWFTools 0.9.1 on Windows systems.
Downloading and installing SWFTools is easy:
1. Go to SWFTools home page at: http://www.swftools.org/.
2. Click the Download menu entry.
3. Click and download swftools-0.9.1.exe.
4. Run the downloaded file, swftools-0.9.1.exe, you see the SWFTools Installer screen.
5. Follow instructions give on the screen to install SWFTools at C:\local\SWFTools.
6. Verify the installation by running this in a command window:
C:\herong>\local\SWFTools\swfdump.exe -V swfdump - part of swftools 0.9.1
If you see the message "swfdump - part of swftools 0.9.1", you know that the installation went ok.
