Outdated: Downloading and Running Flash Player Projector 10
This section describes a tutorial example on how to download and run Adobe Flash Player Projector to play Flash applications stored in SWF files without using Web browsers.
We know that Flash applications can be embedded in Web pages and played in Web browsers with Flash Player ActiveX or Plugin.
But Flash applications can also be played in Adobe Flash Player Projector without using Web browsers.
Let's download a copy Flash Player Projector first:
1. Go to Adobe Flash Player Support Center at http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html.
2. Click "Download the Windows Flash Player 10.1 Projector (EXE, 5.30 MB)" like.
3. Copy the downloaded flashplayer_10_sa.exe to folder \local\bin.
To test Flash Player Projector, try this command to play the Flash application created earlier in this book:
C:\herong>\local\bin\flashplayer_10_sa.exe space_explorer_4.swf
You will see "Adobe Flash Player 10" window showing up with Space Explorer running:
