REST Web Service Request Template
This section provides a tutorial example on how to review the request template generated by SoapUI for a REST Web service from a WADL document.
Once a REST project is created as shown in the previous tutorial, you can look at the request template generated by SoapUI to help you understand what parameters are needed to call the Web service.
Double-click on "Request 1" below the "GET" method of the "Hello_REST.php" resource. You will see a REST Web service request template screen shows up.
In the request area, you will see a list of parameter names with empty values.
Enter "Hello from client." as the value for the "Message" parameter. A REST test request is ready to be submitted to the service provider.
Other fields on the template tells us that:
Method: GET Endpoint: http://www.herongyang.com Resource: /Service/Hello_REST.php Parameter: Message=Hello from client.
