This section provides a tutorial example on how to verify that Adobe Flash Player 10 is installed properly for Firefox 3 on Windows XP systems

After finishing the installation process of Adobe Flash Player for Firefox on a Windows XP system, how do you know it is installed properly? Here is what I did to verify the installation:

1. Open the installation log file, FlashInstall.log, in C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash. The log file contains these lines:

2. Run "Add or Remove Programs" in Control Panel. You see "Adobe Flash Player 10 Plugin" listed as an installed program.

3. Run Firefor 3 and visit the Adobe Flash Player test page at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/. You see "You have version 10,1,85,3 installed" displayed in the "Version Information" box in the middle of the page.
