This section provides a tutorial example on how to review running applications, including both background processes and foreground processes, on my Android phone.
In the previous tutorial, I reviewed what are running as background processes on my phone. In this tutorial, I want to review all processes, including background and foreground, that are currently running.
Tap on "Settings", "Applications", than "Manage applications". I see 4 tabs showing up: "Downloaded", "Running", "All" and "On SD card".
Tap on "Running" tab. I see a long list of items displayed:
Alarm/Clock Android keyboard Android System Bluetooth Share Browser Calendar Storage com.android.provider.appl com.android.provider.user contact Storage de.emsys.usbmode.control Dialer Dialer Storage Download Manager DRM Protected Content Storage DRM Service E-mail Fonts Gallery Gmail Google Play Books Google Play Store Google Search Google Service Framework Home LG PC Suite LGMITS Service Media Storage Message Widget Messaging Music My Updates On-Screen Phone Settings Settings Storage Social+ Video Player Voice Control Weather What's New
If you want stop any running application, you tap on its name. Then tap on the "Force stop" button.
