"madd/minsert/mdelete/mcopy/mmove" Commands

This section provides a quick introduction on movie frame editing commands, madd, minsert, mdelete, mcopy and mmove, in PyMol.

After a set of movie frames is defined with the "mset" command, you can still update it with the following commands.

"madd" - Adds additional frames for the end of the set using the same syntax as "mset" command.

"minsert" - Inserts frames at a given position of the set.

"mdelete" - Deletes frames from a given position of the set.

"mmove" - Moves frames from one position to another position.

"mcopy" - Copies frames from one position to another position.

If you want to know how many frame you have in the movie frame set, you can use the "count_frame" to print it.

If you want to see what is displayed in each frame, you can click the ">" button in the movie control area to go through all frame, one at a time.

The following picture shows the image displayed for frame 2, which uses data from state 2.
