HTTP Request and Response Raw Data
This section provides a tutorial example on how to view HTTP request and response raw data which includes HTTP header lines.
Since my SOAP Web service uses HTTP as the communication protocol, SoapUI also provides us the actual HTTP request and response raw data after each call to the Web service.
Click on the "Raw" tab in the request area. You will see the HTTP request raw data with request header lines followed by the request body:
POST http://www.herongyang.com/Service/Hello_SOAP_11.php HTTP/1.1 Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate Content-Type: text/xml;charset=UTF-8 SOAPAction: "http://www.herongyang.com/Service/Hello" Content-Length: 251 Host: www.herongyang.com Connection: Keep-Alive User-Agent: Apache-HttpClient/4.1.1 (java 1.5) (Request message...)
Click on the "Raw" tab in the response area. You will see the HTTP response raw data with response header lines followed by the response body:
HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Sun, 1 Feb 2015 19:30:50 GMT Server: Apache X-Powered-By: PHP/5.5.26 Keep-Alive: timeout=2, max=200 Connection: Keep-Alive Transfer-Encoding: chunked Content-Type: text/xml (Response message...)
Cool. We can use HTTP request and response header lines to help troubleshooting any issues when calling any Web services.
